The Way Out
Endlessly wide the Redemption Road Mind is working to stay afloat Heart is pumping Thoughts are jumping Hands are itching Bottle twitching Fire burning Desire churning Silence God’s voice Prayer choice Narrowly escaping Plight awaiting Grace at night Enter his Light Silence Peace afloat Redemption Road Narrowly awaking Peace. ˷Kirsche Have mercy on me, dear Lord. Let me be secure in You. Let me know that I have all things in You. I need nothing else. I can live this life, and not be anxious about anything that can happen to me. You will strengthen me to run the race, and You will defend me against attacks and obstacles along the way. I can rest in you to take care of all my needs. You will provide me with the knowledge and skills to do Your will. You strengthen me in all my ways. You implant ideas into my mind. You will give me the eye to see hidden motives. You are my support to hold me up when times are treacherous. I thank you, Lord, for being my strength.
Lord, I ask that my faith in You to provide all my needs, direct my plans, protect my family and me, help my unbelief, and trust You, increases. I want to have You in all aspects of my life. I know You are present and if I lean on you, You will come through to fulfill my expectations. Sometimes, however, I fail to have expectations for You. I ask, Lord, that I can relax in You. Let me not take my eyes off You. Let me seek to know You more. Let me know your intricacies. As I seek to know You more, I learn more about the goodness that comes from knowing You. I acknowledge that I just have to let go, and let You be in total control of me. Lord, I believe that You want me to acknowledge my vulnerabilities in this life. The more I trust You for my complete existence, I will find that living is much easier and enjoyable. Lord, whatever You want of me, here I am. Let my mind be released from the chains of worldly influences. Let me be free so that I can see You as You are. Give me, please, my heart’s true desire, which is to obey Your Word. I firmly stand against evil.
Lord, I feel unfulfilled at this time. I think that it is the pressures of the world on the pride of the flesh. To overcome this detestable feeling, I must pray and read your word more. I must trust You to make everything okay.
The feeling is I want to be more. I feel that I have so much to give, yet I am underutilized. I feel that I should be in charge of something, not having only line staff roles. In writing this, I realized that You know all my inner parts, desires and feelings, better than I know. I must trust You; at the proper time, You will let my abilities be properly utilize. The answer is to trust You. You will meet all my needs while I diligently seek You. At the right time, You will lift me up. I must trust that if I go according to your way, I will benefit exceedingly more than if I try to establish something out of the pressures of the world on the pride of my flesh. I will be wherever You want me to be. Thank you Lord for taking care of me. In situations where I am vulnerable, you have come to my rescue. The circumstances are such that I would cave in to the natural person, but, as your Word says, your Spirit will quicken me. Although I am weak, You are strong. Your angels come to rescue me as You direct the situation. I must only trust in You, and allow You to take control.
Thank You, Lord, for allowing me to take heed to Your Word. I want to do what is right, but many times evil is present. Let not this evil put me under, but You are there for my direction and protection. I plead with You to buffer me from the arrows of the enemy so that I will not fall short of performing according to Your Word. Put evil away from me. Let me not desire to do the things of the flesh, but let me only seek to walk in Your Spirit, seeking Your ways. Thank You, Lord. When I think of some circumstances I have had in my life that I really didn't want, I realize that I had them for me to become closer to You, Lord. Your Word in Psalms 119:71 says, “I am glad that I was afflicted so that I may learn your decrees.” I realize that I do not want to deal with some situations, but, when I take a closer look, I see that I need them. I desperately need them to keep me closer to You. Without them, I understand that I can stray from Your Way. To overcome these undesirable situations, I know that I must be able to follow Your Way closely. If the situation were removed, I ask, "Will I stay on the course of Your Way as closely as I am because of the situation?" If I answer no, I need the situation just as Paul needed a stone in his side. The circumstances, although feeling uncomfortable to my flesh, are there to keep me narrowly on Your Way.
Let me be strong in You, O Lord. |
