SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING COURSE

Christian Institute offers Suicide Prevention Training Course (6 CEHs)
Students must first complete six (6) hours of coursework in suicide risk and assessment.
In this course, you will learn about suicide, the warning signs, and the methods of prevention. You will learn the current statistics and trends of suicide, and the different resources to prevent suicide.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define Suicide
2. Review Current Suicide Impact Trends
3. Explore various warning signs of suicide
4. Learn prevention methods of suicide
5. Access resources for self or others who are impacted by suicide.

SICKNESS OF THE DRUG ABUSER COURSE (6 CEHs)
Students must first complete six (6) hours of coursework in sickness of the drug abuser.
This course will take you through an overview of some of the physical and physiological impacts that addiction has on one’s body. While a counselor will likely help with the mental and emotional toll addiction has, it is important to also focus on the physical impact. This course will give you simple tools to apply immediately to improve health during recovery.
Learning Objectives:
1. Explore various health conditions of a drug abuser.
2. Learn the importance of physical health during recovery
3. Explore different methods of attaining physical health

3. Explore the history and current focus on CODs
