MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT (MAT)

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) (6 CEHs)

In this course, students will build a foundational understanding of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and its role in addressing Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). The course will explain how MAT works, the medications most commonly used, and the key benefits and challenges of this treatment approach. By the end, students will be prepared to support individuals in recovery using evidence-based knowledge of MAT options.

Learning Objectives:
1. Explore various health conditions of a drug abuser.
2. Learn the importance of physical health during recovery
3. Explore different methods of attaining physical health
