Let Not My Feelings Get in the Way of Serving You

O Lord,

Give me strength to run the race that is set before. Please help me to not be swayed to the left or right, but keep on course. I realize that many feelings can enter into the heart. It is not only the mind that directs behaviors, but feelings also. As a Christian, I must learn to master my mind and feelings. At this time of my understanding, I don’t know how the Bible refers to feelings. I know they are not just the mind because feelings began to control the thoughts that come from the mind. I must work on controlling my feelings. I don’t want to falter because I feel disheartened. Help me to understand feelings. I will trust You to have uplifting and inspiring feelings.

I am Learning to Partner with You

Lord, I am learning to partner with You. Your Word says that Christians are Your body. We are You in action. I am learning that I must allow You to work through me. I often cut You off by trying to do something my way. I seek to fix it with my own strength. I am learning that this is a reason for prayer: to turn things over to You so that You can work.

I should not try to do things on my own. I must pray and let You work it out, then I can abide with the outcome. I am seeking for You to control everything that pertains to me.

Give me, please, the self-control to allow You to work in my life. Your work in my life will be to uplift You and uplift others. I will seek You diligently. I will trust You and lean not on my own understanding.

I Cast Down the Stronghold of My Past

I will conform to You, Lord. I will seek to know not my will but Your Word in my life. I cast down the stronghold of my past against me. I am choosing to forget those things that have bonded me. I am free in You, Lord. I claim freedom from all ill-effects from socialization. I claim to know only the new life in Christ Jesus. I flush my entire system clean of the wickedness that came from socialization. I bring forth a new light in Christ Jesus. I thank You for the knowledge of Your excellency. I accept my entrance into Your holies of holies where Christ Jesus dwells. I ask for forgiveness of my trespasses in living under the curse of socialization. I thank You, Lord, for letting me be a new creation in You. Let me reap the fullness of Your benefits. I realize that I have passed from death to life. I am requiring of me to live blameless in Your majesty. I believe, Lord, that You will take care of every iota of my life. I want to be strong in keeping the sabotage that comes from my mind away from the blessings You have for me.

O Lord, I am seeking Your fullness in me. I have realized that the mind is a source of corruption. I must destroy the works of my mind that seek to turn me from You. I am learning how to pray. I am learning to trust You for everything.

I must lose who I think I am, learning only to know the way You want me to be. I am learning that the source of who I think I am is in my mind. I must shun all the desires that stem from my mind. I will abolish the habitat of the evilness that starts the thoughts and perception.

O Lord, help me to be strong in receiving Your Spirit and putting my ways aside. I will pray more diligently so that I can conform to You.
