I Put My Desires and Being into Your Hands

Lord, as I seek You, let me not be distracted by my daily living in this world.  I am constantly bombarded with so many stimuli.  Often, I feel drained and devoid of my own desire and focus to actually serve You.  

My earnest desire is to remain focused and completely in Your realm of living.  I need You if I am ever to produce for others and myself.  I falter when I am interrupted by my flesh wanting to be itself.  Just like now, I get totally involved with the pleasures of what my flesh seeks.  This becomes an idol because it takes me away from completely focusing on You.  There shouldn’t be one thing that blocks or interferes with my mind staying on You.  I must recognize what these blocks are and not let them be established.  

I seek to have my glory as Your glory for without You there is not a me.  Give me the strength so my mind is always on You, and help me to realize that whatever I do, in word, deed and thought, let me do it to Your honor.  I mean everything that I could possibly say, do and think.  I put my desires and being into Your hands.
