Let Me Not Be Deceived

I am seeking to be, as much as possible, a good servant of You, Lord.  In my life, I have gone astray.  I am seeking to lead a life that is down the narrow path of The Way.  There are many distractions that can move me from the right path.  I must be strong and stay on it.  

O Lord, give me the strength to ensure that I stay on the right path.  I desire not to sin against You.  As I deepen my relationship with You, I realize that so much of what I have done and sought was vain.  I desire not to be vain.  

Put the right things in my heart.  Take away the impurities of vain living.  Help me, Lord.  Let me know what is right for me and let me pursue it.  Please don’t let me be deceived.  The deception leads to misery in the end.
