MEDITATIONS AND BIBLE STUDIES

Overcoming Flesh, Heart & Thoughts

2/3/2025

Lord, I rebuke all desires of my flesh, all deceitfulness of my heart and all thoughts contrary to You.  I want to get closer to You.

I have realized that my thoughts come from my heart.  Therefore, I must present a clean heart to You.  I must examine my heart daily so that I may not sin against You.  I need to be unblemished before You.  The enemy’s attack is on the things that I do.  These become sin because they occupy my existence so that I do not focus on You.

I must prepare my heart so that in every thought, every moment, every action, I am cognizant of You.  I must realize that the longer I go between each moment of recognizing You in my existence, I am slipping and am inviting separation from You.

I pray, right now Lord, that all of me be in submission to You.  Help me overcome my flesh, heart and thoughts.

David writes in Psalms to guard our hearts. Each day examine and protect it, make sure that we see the attacks of the enemy before he can get to close.
