Examines the history of alcohol and other mood-changing drugs; the myths and stereotypes of alcohol use; the socio-cultural factors that contribute to the use of drugs; and the patterns and progressions of alcoholism. 

Course is worth 4.5 quarter units, or 45 hours.

About Christian Institute

Christian Institute (CI) is approved both by CCAPP (California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors) and CADTP (California Association of DUI Treatment Programs). Both certifying bodies are approved with California Department of Health Services (DHCS) to certify candidates as certified counselors to work in treatment programs.
