Physiology and Pharmacology Course
This course provides students with a working knowledge of all addictive drugs, their classification, mechanisms of action and pharmacology. It focuses on enabling the students to understand and clearly present and discuss the disease concept of dependency. The course also provides an HIV/AIDS component.(4.5-quarter units) Course is worth 4.5 quarter units, or 45 hours. |

About Christian Institute
Christian Institute (CI) is approved both by CCAPP (California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors) and CADTP (California Association of DUI Treatment Programs). Both certifying bodies are approved with California Department of Health Services (DHCS) to certify candidates as certified counselors to work in treatment programs.
