80 Hour Core Competency Course
This course is approved by CADTP and CCAPP, ensuring it meets all state guidelines in AB 2473. According to AB 2473, newly registered counselors (on or after July 1, 2025) are required to complete 80 hours of the core competency course within 6 months of registering. These hours apply toward the total educational requirements a registered counselor must complete to become certified. The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of core competency topics as specified by CADTP, CCAPP and the California Health and Safety Code section 11833(b). CADTP Orientation Course for RADT-1
To start the process of becoming a Registered Alcohol and Drug Trainee I (RADT-1), students must first complete a course that includes the topics of ethics, boundaries and confidentiality.
You can take this online course through Christian Institute for only $50. Christian Institute is an approved provider with CADTP & NAADAC. Once completed, receive a $50 credit towards a future Drug and Alcohol course.
