is Christian institute approved?
Christian Institute is approved through CCAPP to offer the seven courses needed to qualify to become a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Courses are self-paced and online.
what is the refund policy?
If a student decides to withdraw/cancel, they must submit an email to [email protected] stating that they are canceling. The date of the email and the enrollment date will be used for calculating the refund. Within 5 days: 100% Within 30 days: 50% After 30 days: Zero Percent
What are qualifications for students?
Students must have a high school diploma or equivalency. They must be computer and Internet literate, capable of emailing, downloading and uploading files, and clicking on links. They also must be capable of reading and writing at least the 9th grade.
What is the time frame for courses?
The courses are self-paced. The standard time-frame for a course is approximately thirty days but it can be shorter. The time-frame for each course is based on how diligent a student works on the course.
What happens if i do not finish?
If I do not complete the assignments for a course within a reasonable time, I will be given a grade of Incomplete. Christian Institute will not drop me from a course; I can always continue.
Can i become certified in another state besides california?
You must first check with a state's certifying board. A Christian Institute's representative can help you do this.
Can christian institute's courses be used for other certifying bodies?
Other certifying bodies, such as CAADE, have accepted Christian Institute's courses.
How much does it cost for the courses?
The lump-sum tuition for all seven courses, if paid at once, is $1400. Otherwise, if paid individually, the cost is $300 per course.
Does christian Institute accept the fafsa?
Christian Institute is private pay. It does not accept federal financial aid (FAFSA) from the government.
Does christian institute offer financial aid?
A deserving student may apply to Christian Institute by sending an email to [email protected] explaining 1) their need, 2) earnest desire to take the courses, 3) what they expect to accomplish by taking the courses and 4) any other pertinent information. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
can christian institute's courses be transferred to other schools?
Students must first check with any institution that they might want to transfer to before taking courses with Christian Institute. The courses are primarily for CCAPP Certification and enrichment. Christian Institute does not promote its courses as transferable.
What is christian institute's pass rate for students taking the certification written exam?
The pass rate is over 90 percent.
